The World's End is another simon pegg and nick frost movie, The duo make every movie that they star in, what i mean is they have this very unique style of acting when in movies together, even though this movie isn't the greatest of movies it does have some aspects of greatness, what i mean by this is the fight scenes are pretty great to say the actors who star in the movie aren't exactly known for their series of combat movies, even though they do a pretty well job of the fight scenes as actors they still look a little out of place.
The way the movie is shot is pretty good, some parts of the movie could be improved, most of the casting is brilliant, any movie that can bag simon pegg and nick frost together has done a great job in the casting right there, unfortunately not all the cast have done the role i was hoping for i'm not really a major fan of eddie marsan, i think there is many actors who could of played this role in such better fashion.
The storyline of the movie isn't great at all doesn't really make any sense on what is actually happening no real explanation on why the home town has completely changed into these robot type of beings.
The director decided to use the same fast cut sequences in this movie, the same as shaun of the dead and also the same as Hot Fuzz, The editing in the movie was pretty good, the cgi wasn't the greatest but wasn't the worst, There wasn't many floors in the movie little things that could be picked up on if you had a eye for editing.
Favourite quotes, Simon Pegg - Fuck Off you big lamp. has to be the best line in the full movie when he is arguing with the leader of the Robots (The Network).
I'm not 100% on what genre they were aiming for in this movie other than straight up comedy, when looking this up i was looking this movie up it says one of the genres it was aiming for was action, don't get me wrong i know the fight scenes are meant to make it the whole action movie, i just think it should stick to aiming to be a comedy and nothing else.
Soundtracks are a major part in all movies they really tie the movie together, i think you really get the feel of a movie when sat watching the trailer and the soundtrack kicks in, to me that's what brings the excitement into actually wanting to watch the movie when it is about to come out.
